Latest Updates from Our Project:

Update #2 - Fray - Champions of the Every-Verse
over 3 years ago – Tue, Oct 06, 2020 at 05:36:22 AM

So much progress!

Thank you everyone, we are absolutely humbled by the support, encouragement and enthusiasm everyone has shown for this project.  This is a short update, but don't worry there will be plenty to talk about soon, we just need to get across the first hurdle.  Thanks to you guys, we are well on our way there (95% as I write this).  We are pretty optimistic for sure, but we aren't quite there yet.   Any shares, comments, and likes that you would be willing to do for us would go a long way to getting us to funded and beyond!

We have a lot of things still in the works to try to bring attention to the project, and the results so far have been overwhelming.  We are sincerely blown away.  Thank you!

Discord

We have created a Discord server for Brain Sandwich Games and would love for you all to join us to talk about the project, or all things games!

Necromancer and Zombie

It is a little bit early to be talking about these guys but we have been asked about them more than a few times.  This is the first time the artwork for the Zombie has been shown anywhere....Meet the Necromancer and his pet Zombie!

That's all for now but we hope you will be hearing from us soon with an update once we are funded!!

Thank you -

Update #1 An incredible start, with much more to come
over 3 years ago – Thu, Oct 01, 2020 at 02:44:47 AM

We are at 38%!  First and foremost, thank you beyond thank you to everyone who has shown support.  To both the new backers who just found us and joined us in this project and to the backers from the first campaign who we have spoken to, and who have supported us with encouragement and great ideas.  We would be nowhere without all of you, and you have all ensured that this has been an absolutely great first day.

What about...?

We have been in touch with many of you and heard some excellent ideas.  That has a lot to do with the look of the new campaign, the changes we have been able to make and the content that we have been able to add.   I wanted to take a moment to address some of the messages/comments that we received today.  This all should be and will be in the FAQs soon.

1. Playing without the board.  - Yes this is possible.  We have been testing this ourselves.  Right now, 'squares' can be replaced with inches to allow you to think up a deadly fighting arena of your own.  We have gotten this question from a lot of wargamers out there, and 'unofficially' you could absolutely play a game that holds up to all of our math on an open surface.  We plan to keep testing this ourselves, and hopefully we can even add a section to the rulebook to help with any discrepancies that show up from playing this way.

2. Solo Mode - We have been working on this for some time.  As I have mentioned in the comments, we haven't been able to get the AI system just right.   I won't promise that we will have a solo mode by the time we go to production, but I absolutely will say that the moment we can nail it down, we will be giving those rules out immediately.  We have grand ideas of adding monsters to the collection so that your champions can find themselves in the arena against a Hydra or a Pack of Lions, only time will tell.  Keep your eyes on the updates.

3. Other Languages - This one is tougher.  We absolutely want to support other languages.  Fray - Champions of the Every-Verse is a language dependent game, which is both why we want to do it and what makes it so difficult.  We need to gauge interest in other languages in order to be able to produce it in other languages.  Keep an eye on updates, if the campaign is headed in the direction of us being able to pull it off, we will definitely be talking about it.

Help us keep it going...

We are very happy with the first 12 hours or so, but we have a long ways to go still.  Plus we want to get into those stretch goals and start making even more Champions (which we will be doing a backer vote on FYI).   Each of you has done so much to show your support already, but please, give us a share on social media.  When you come to check on the progress of the campaign, head through Kicktraq.   Coming in through Kicktraq, and making a comment, even if just to say good morning will help us stay visible there and let even more people know about the project! Just go through the link below and click visit project when you want to see how we are doing.  Or drop in the comments and chat away if you have had your coffee already.
